Love
During his professional years, Andy’s work took him across the globe, and it was on one of these trips that he met the love of his life, Lisa from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Their whirlwind romance saw them getting engaged in the vibrant city of Montreal and marrying in the bustling metropolis of Hong Kong in 1994. For their honeymoon, they embraced the spirit of adventure with a backpacking trip through Thailand, returning to England two months later for a heartfelt wedding reception with family and friends.
Andy and Lisa’s love story continued to blossom over the years. In 2014, they renewed their vows at the enchanting Secret Garden Party festival, a fitting celebration for a couple known for their love of festivals and a zest for fun and spontaneity.
As avid festival-goers and party enthusiasts, Andy and his wife have always embraced a life full of excitement and discovery. Recently, they have taken their adventurous spirits on the road, exploring the world in their camper van. Their latest journey took them through the scenic landscapes of France, the vibrant cultures of Spain and Morocco, and the charming locales of the Netherlands.
Now retired, Andy channels his adventurous spirit into planning and undertaking long-distance bicycle tours. His experiences, both professional and personal, have equipped him with a unique perspective on travel, adventure, and the joys of exploring the world on two wheels.
Through Tiny Escapes, the blog he co-founded with Nadja, Andy shares his insights and adventures, inspiring others to discover the thrill of long-distance biking and the beauty of the world beyond their doorstep.
