Nadja is a passionate adventurer and the co-founder of Tiny Escapes, a blog dedicated to long-distance bicycle tours and travel adventures, which she started with her partner in crime, Andy. With an insatiable love for riding bikes, Nadja has explored some of the most captivating and challenging routes around the globe.
One of her most cherished experiences was a memorable bike tour through Myanmar, where the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes left a lasting impression.
Originally from Austria, Nadja spent 16 years living in the eclectic city of Brighton, UK.
Recently, she returned to her homeland, where she discovered a new passion: paragliding.
Together with her partner, Andreas, she embarked on thrilling paragliding adventures in Tenerife and Isle de la Réunion. They usually live in a van, embracing the freedom and exhilaration of soaring through the skies.
Pedaling through life with a love for soaring - always up for an adventure-filled ride!
But Nadja’s adventurous spirit isn’t confined to biking and paragliding.
She is also an avid hiker and has twice completed the iconic Tour du Mont Blanc.
Nadja walked the Shikoku Pilgrimage, or Henro in Japanese, a pilgrimage of 88 temples associated with the Buddhist saint Kūkai, covering the entire route of 900+km in just 34 days.
Her love for travelling has taken her to diverse destinations
Including Southern Africa, where she explored Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, and Ethiopia.
And South East Asia, with memorable stays in Japan and the Philippines.
Among all the places she has visited, Iran holds a special place in her heart for its rich history and warm hospitality.
Currently, Nadja and Andy are in the midst of planning their next grand adventure: a bike ride from Brighton, UK, to Graz, Austria. This ambitious journey will take them along the scenic Rhine from Düsseldorf to Basel and over three majestic alpine passes in Austria, including the breathtaking Grossglockner High Alpine Road.
